Farewell

To Case Manager Tara Pollock, who leaves to take on a position with the Department of Child Protection.

While only with ISADD for a comparatively short time, Tara quickly demonstrated a high level of therapeutic skills, and soon progressed to Case Manager status. Tara has made a very positive contribution to the quality of life for many children with ASD, and no doubt will, in her new position, do the same for “children at risk”. Thank you, Tara, and all the best for the future.

And from Tara, this amazing good-bye to ISADD and her client families:

From my first observation with Larni I knew that I wanted to work for ISADD, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. ISADD has provided me with so many opportunities, for which I will be forever
grateful. I’m not sure if our families quite understand, but working for ISADD is not like working anywhere else. You are part of a team that genuinely cares for you, where you can reach out for support and know that it’s there, where your ideas are listened to, and where you are always offered the opportunity to improve
yourself and grow in your job. I have been so lucky to work for, and with people who I genuinely care about and respect. That’s not something many people can say.

I want to say to all of the wonderful families I have worked with over the years … It was an honour to be invited into your home, to be given the opportunity to get to know you and your fantastic children. You have given me such joy, and never has a week has gone by when I haven’t gone home and said “You’ll never guess
what one of MY KIDS did today, what a superstar!!”. This has not just been a job for me, it has been a journey; and I have felt so privileged to travel with you for part of yours. I hope I can keep in touch with you and
continue to share in your children’s lives and no matter how old they get I know I will continue to feel every bit of hurt and rejoice in every achievement.

As I move into a new field with a mix of  trepidation and excitement, know that I will always look on my time at ISADD with the fondest regard and as a place I called home for a while. I will forever cherish the memories that I have created here.
